Pongal is a Harvest festival of Tamil Nadu . It is celebrated on first day of Tamil Month. Students and staff of CgKG Meenambakkam celebrated Pongal with an aim of introducing our age old tradition of celebrating festivals to this generation. School campus was decorated with Pongal related Rangolis . Sweet Pongal was cooked in traditional style and relished by everyone in the school . Students along with school staff graciously thanked and wished for happiness and prosperity for each other .

The Coast Guard Kindergarten(CGKG), Meenambakkam was inaugurated on 23 Feb 2017 by Mrs. Urmila Singh, President, Tatrakshika and is located at Coast Guard Residential Complex, 4th Street, NGO Colony, Nanganallur, Chennai.
