The students at Coast Guard Kindergarten, Meenambakkam, participated in an engaging Sensory Walk Activity designed to stimulate their senses and enhance their sensory awareness. The activity was set up with different stations featuring various textures, sounds, and smells. Children walked barefoot over sand, grass, pebbles, and water, experiencing the distinct sensations each surface offered.
As they moved through the stations, they also encountered natural elements like leaves, flowers, and soft cotton, while listening to calming sounds like birds chirping and wind chimes. This hands-on activity helped develop their sensory skills and encouraged mindfulness as they focused on each new sensation.
The sensory walk not only sparked curiosity but also provided the children with a calming and enriching experience, allowing them to connect with nature in a fun and interactive way. It was a memorable and beneficial learning exercise for all the young participants.
