The joyous celebration of Vinayagar Chaturthi filled the air with devotion and excitement at Coast Guard Kindergarten, Meenambakkam. The school premises were beautifully adorned with flowers, vibrant rangolis, and idols of Lord Ganesha, creating an atmosphere of reverence and festivity.
The event commenced with the traditional puja, where the children, along with their teachers, gathered to offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. The rituals were performed with great enthusiasm, and the chants of mantras resonated through the school, instilling a sense of spirituality among the students.
Following the puja, the young children, dressed in colorful traditional attire, performed dances and songs dedicated to Lord Ganesha. They enacted short skits depicting the stories of Ganesha’s wisdom and his role as the beloved elephant-headed god. The performances were heartwarming and showcased the students’ devotion and talent.
A highlight of the celebration was the eco-friendly Ganesha idols made by the students themselves using clay. This activity emphasized the importance of environmental consciousness and sustainability while staying true to cultural traditions.
The event concluded with the distribution of prasadam to all the children, who left with joyful hearts and a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage. Vinayagar Chaturthi at Coast Guard Kindergarten was not only a celebration of Lord Ganesha but also a learning experience in devotion, creativity, and environmental responsibility.
