The Coast Guard Kindergarten(CGKG), Meenambakkam was inaugurated on 23 Feb 2017 by Mrs. Urmila Singh, President, Tatrakshika and is located at Coast Guard Residential Complex, 4th Street, NGO Colony, Nanganallur, Chennai.
The school has been registered under Education department of Tamilnadu.Other than Coast Guard, the School extends its services to wards of other armed force services including those of civil communities and has harvested many appreciations for the innovative method of teaching and conducive atmosphere for learning.

The School functions under the able guidance of CO, ICGAS Chennai as Chairman of CGKG. The day to day functioning and administrative support is provided by the Officer-in-Charge through nominated SO i/C.

The school is registard under norms of TN Government and runas per the approved Bye Laws. As the school is registard under state Government the parents who are eligible can claim children education allowances ( CEA ). The school is administratively controlled by Coast Guard Region( East ).
